The wet zone of Sri Lanka — where rainfall exceeds 2,500 mm per year — presents unique challenges for tomato growers. High humidity promotes fungal disease, and the constant leaching of nutrients from heavy rains demands a different fertility strategy than drier regions.

Fertilife's Garden Boost was formulated specifically for these conditions. Its slow-release organic pellets resist leaching, delivering nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium steadily over 8–10 weeks. A single 1 kg application at transplant time sustains the entire vegetative phase.

For flower initiation, we recommend switching to Crop Pro at the first sign of buds. The higher potassium-to-nitrogen ratio promotes fruit set and reduces blossom drop — a common problem when humidity stays above 80%.

Mulching between rows with dry coconut husk helps regulate soil temperature and reduces splash-borne disease. Combined with a monthly Bloom Tea foliar feed, most home growers report their first harvest within 75–85 days of transplant.

Consistency is key. A light top-dressing of Garden Boost at 4 weeks after transplant bridges the gap between initial application and the bloom-support feeds — the backbone of the Fertilife three-stage system.
